Travis Wilkie Grit and Honor Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is offered in the memory of Travis Wilkie whose life was cut tragically short while serving in the United States Air Force as a pilot. It is awarded annually to a 7th grade student promoting to 8th grade at Warren-Walker Middle School. The recipient will exemplify the characteristics that Travis embodied; grit and honor.

Grit: Having exceptional work ethic, never giving up, embracing challenges.

Honor: Having integrity, honesty, humility and respect for both oneself and others.

Travis graduated from Warren-Walker Middle School in 2010 as President of the Student Council and was awarded the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Travis went on to graduate from the United States Air Force Academy as a scholar athlete, playing baseball for the Falcons.
